The Delhi government has announced its agenda for 2026, prioritizing the completion of infrastructure projects, improvement of civic services, cleaning the Yamuna River, and tackling air pollution. Key initiatives include the completion of the Barapullah Phase-3 flyover, construction of new flyovers, and the launch of the 'Delhi Mitra' app for lodging civic complaints. The government also plans to upgrade and construct new sewage treatment plants to combat Yamuna pollution.

The Delhi government has approved a Rs 220-crore project for Kirari as part of its new drainage master plan. This initiative aims to address the city's chronic waterlogging issues by upgrading and modernizing the drainage infrastructure in the Kirari area. Drainage will run along Railway line along Najafgarh to Mundka halt.

Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood laid the foundation stone for development works worth ₹5.5 crore in the Pankha Road area of West Delhi's Janakpuri. The project includes constructing new drains, pavements, installing streetlights, and landscaping. This initiative aims to address long-standing civic issues like open drains and potholes.

The Delhi government will launch 75 new schemes and programs during the 'Seva Pakhwada' from September 17 to October 2 to celebrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 75th birthday, including facilities for visually impaired students, intellectually disabled persons, and senior citizens. As part of 'Sewa Pakhwada', the Delhi government will enroll 50,000 new beneficiaries under the Old Age Pension Scheme and increase the pension allowance by Rs 500. Beneficiaries aged 60 years and above will receive Rs 2,500 per month, up from the earlier Rs 2,000, while those aged 70 years and above will get Rs 3,000 per month, up from Rs 2,500. SC/ST beneficiaries will receive an extra Rs 500 per month.

New sewer, gas, and water pipelines are being constructed in Janakpuri, Delhi, utilizing modern trenchless technology to replace old sewer lines. This project aims to improve civic facilities and prevent contamination of drinking water.

The Delhi government has unveiled a new Drainage Master Plan, nearly 50 years after the last one was prepared in 1976. The plan aims to solve the city's recurring urban flooding and waterlogging issues for the next 30 years. It divides the city into three basins and proposes diverting excess rainwater to lakes and wetlands using nature-based solutions. The plan is expected to cost around Rs 57,362.85 crore .

Areas under Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway flyovers, including Hero Honda Chowk, Shankar Chowk, and Iffco Chowk, are facing issues of filth, neglect, and misuse. The flyovers were built to ease traffic, but the areas beneath them suffer from garbage, debris, open urination, and abandoned vehicles.
