The Mohali Municipal Corporation has proposed a Rs 5 crore plan to strengthen the city's sanitation system by deploying additional manpower and hiring tractor-trolleys. The proposal, to be tabled in the House, aims to divide the city into four zones for better waste management.

NHAI has awarded the construction work for the Zirakpur-Panchkula bypass (19.2 km) and a spur connecting it to the Ambala-Chandigarh expressway (10.3 km). This Rs 1,983-crore project aims to dismantle the chronic traffic gridlock in Zirakpur and surrounding areas by creating a six-lane bypass.

The Punjab government has withdrawn the Punjab Unified Building Bye-Laws, 2025,reinstating the 2021 Building Rules and 2018 Bye-Laws. This policy reversal follows concerns raised about legal, procedural, and infrastructural shortcomings. The restoration of the earlier rules aims to provide a more stable and established regulatory framework for construction in the region.

The land acquisition process for vertical and horizontal road projects across 35 villages in the Mohali-Kharar region has been accelerated. Punjab's Industries and Commerce Minister Sanjeev Arora announced the development of a new Multipurpose Exhibition and Convention Centre in Mohali's IT City. The Rs 250 crore project, developed under a Public-Private Partnership, aims to position Punjab as a hub for global events and investments.

Kharar MLA Anmol Gagan Maan has inaugurated road repair projects totaling Rs 8 crore. The initiative includes re-carpeting and tiling of approximately 22 km of roads across Sunny Enclave and wards 1, 23, 24, and 25. Key roads like Hospital Road and Randhawa Road, which connect to Ludhiana Road, are being prioritized.

The Mohali Municipal Corporation (MC) is facing increased pressure on its civic infrastructure due to the expansion of its limits, with reports highlighting gaps in essential services in newly added areas. To address these deficiencies, the MC plans to seek substantial funds from GMADA and has drafted a development plan for short-term and long-term interventions. .
