The Mohali Municipal Corporation (MC) is expanding its jurisdiction to include newly developed areas such as Aerocity, IT City, Sectors 81, 82, 90, 91, 92, 94, and 86 to 89, along with private projects like TDI City and developments in Sectors 119, 118, 117, 116, 92, and 74-A. This expansion will shift responsibilities for sanitation, park maintenance, streetlights, and roads to the MC, aiming for better accountability and improved civic amenities for residents.
