This improved connectivity is driving surge in real estate demand, with property prices already seeing a 15-30% increase and projected to rise another 15-25% in the next 18-24 months.

Dehradun Master Plan 2041's Draft , currently undergoing public consultation, emphasizes planned residential expansion, commercial and industrial zones, green belts & roads. Prepared to manage the city's growing population, traffic, and environmental challenges, the plan seeks to provide a blueprint for sustainable urban development.

Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority has approved a ₹968 crore development plan for the financial year 2026-27, focusing on sustainable urban expansion, infrastructure enhancement, and green initiatives. This initiative is expected to attract private investment, boost tourism, and create employment opportunities.

The Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) sealed four under-construction buildings in Kulhan and Chandrabani for violating building bylaws and lacking necessary approvals. Illegal constructions create pressure on urban infrastructure like roads, parking, and water supply.

NHAI is constructing a 12-kilometer, four-lane greenfield bypass connecting the Delhi-Dehradun Economic Corridor. This project, with a cost of ₹716 crore, aims to enhance regional connectivity and reduce traffic congestion in Dehradun. The bypass is expected to be completed by April 2027 and will divert non-destined traffic away from the city's urban core.
