Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority has approved a ₹968 crore development plan for the financial year 2026-27, focusing on sustainable urban expansion, infrastructure enhancement, and green initiatives. The Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) sealed four under-construction buildings in Kulhan and Chandrabani for violating building bylaws and lacking necessary approvals. Illegal constructions create pressure on urban infrastructure like roads, parking, and water supply.

The Dehradun Municipal Corporation (DMC) has significantly improved its waste management system, with coverage now at around 85%. The DMC has also introduced grey and pink toilets in Prem Nagar and plans to expand them city-wide.
