Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the Ahmedabad Dholera Expressway and various industrial development initiatives in Gujarat on March 31. The visit includes the inauguration of completed development projects worth ₹271.20 crore by the Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) in Sanand, Ahmedabad district.

The Gujarat government is fast-tracking the development of five satellite towns by 2030, including Sanand & Kalol near Ahmedabad & Bardoli near Surat as part of the Gujarat@2047 Vision. These towns will feature metropolitan-level infrastructure and civic amenities to reduce pressure on major cities and create economic hubs, promoting balanced urbanization and local employment.

The Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA) convened its 307th Board Meeting, approving seven new town planning schemes to cover areas including Sanand, Godhavi, Kaneti, Nindrada, and Matnuru villages, adding nearly 1,000 hectares to the city's planned development zone. These initiatives aim to foster well-structured growth, provide modern infrastructure, and create opportunities for new residential projects.
