These developments include sustainable wastewater management, new roads, improved transport links, and enhanced healthcare facilities, aiming to create a modern and sustainable urban landscape.

The Punjab Government has finalized the land acquisition process for the Mohali-Rajpura new railway line project. This paves the way for the formal commencement for the Rs 443-crore project, which aims to provide a direct rail link between Punjab's Malwa region and Chandigarh.

A ₹250 crore multipurpose exhibition and convention centre is planned for Mohali's IT City, Sector 83. Developed under a PPP model, the facility will host large-scale national and international events, featuring expansive exhibition halls, conference rooms, and retail spaces.
