About Old Mumbai Pune Highway, Pune

The Old Pune-Mumbai Highway is a major thoroughfare that runs through the Indian city of Pune. The roadway starts at Shivaji Nagar in the city's centre and finishes at Dehu Road.

Along with two cantonment board borders at Khadki and Dehu Road, it passes through the boundaries of the cities of Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad.

India's first 6-lane concrete, access-controlled toll expressway is the Mumbai-Pune Expressway. It connects Pune, Maharashtra's cultural and educational centre, with Mumbai, Maharashtra's state capital and India's financial centre.

Two motorways intersect and combine in the Lonavala and Khandala districts before splitting apart. At various locations within Pune, the Old Pune Highway divides into the Nasik-Pune and Talegaon-Dabhade highways.
