Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary announced a significant infrastructure initiative to extend Patna's J.P. Ganga Path into a 126-km Ganga Marine Drive. The project, estimated at ₹70,000 crore, aims to enhance road connectivity and transport infrastructure along the Ganga corridor.
Many historical water bodies in Patna are disappearing due to rapid urbanization, unplanned growth, and real estate expansion. Encroachment by private developers and land grabbers, coupled with weak enforcement, is leading to the loss of these vital ecological and cultural assets.
The elevated stretch of the Patna Metro from Bhoothnath to Malahi Pakri, a key part of Corridor II, has successfully passed a safety inspection by the Chief Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety. This 2.75 km section, including Khemnichak station, is set to open soon, completing the priority elevated corridor and boosting urban mobility.
