Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary announced a significant infrastructure initiative to extend Patna's J.P. Ganga Path into a 126-km Ganga Marine Drive. The project, estimated at ₹70,000 crore, aims to enhance road connectivity and transport infrastructure along the Ganga corridor.

The Patna Metro Rail Corporation Limited (PMRC) is set to expand its train fleet with three additional six-coach rakes by December 2026. These new trains will nearly double the passenger capacity, improving commuter experience and accommodating the growing ridership as more network sections become operational.

The Bihar Land Mutation (Amendment) Bill, 2026, has been passed, introducing a fee of Rs 200 on applications for land mutation, appeals, and revision of land records. The government stated that additional resources are needed to fund development works.

The Bihar Cabinet has approved a 500 MW rooftop solar project to be installed on government buildings across the state over the next five years. This initiative is expected to reduce electricity expenditure for government institutions, increase renewable energy adoption, lower carbon emissions, and promote environmental sustainability.

Patna is set to launch 'Nagar Netra,' an initiative using AI-powered electric scooters to identify civic issues like litter and potholes across all 75 wards. This will lead to quicker responses and improved accountability in addressing civic problems, enhancing city management.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has approved the Patna Elevated Road Project, a 13.41 km six-lane elevated and at-grade corridor from Saristabad to Didarganj. This project aims to significantly ease traffic congestion within Patna and improve connectivity.
