Bengaluru has emerged as India's top office market in the January-March quarter of 2026, leasing 5.3 million sq ft of space, a 24.7% increase year-on-year. The city captured 33% of all leasing by foreign occupiers, with Global Capability Centres (GCCs) dominating demand at 70%.
Bannerghatta Road will receive temporary repairs, including asphalting, while a detailed project report for its comprehensive development is prepared. The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has allocated Rs 12.50 crore for this work. Plans for an underpass and flyover at Vega City Mall are also being reviewed to improve traffic flow.

The underground section is projected to be completed by September/December 2026. This delay impacts commuters in South Bengaluru, and the ongoing construction has led to poor road conditions with numerous potholes, especially on Bannerghatta Road. BMRCL blames other civic agencies for not restoring the road properly after digging.
