Following the season's first heavy rainfall, residents of Milind Nagar in Powai staged a protest against BMC due to severe waterlogging in their area. Locals sat in the accumulated rainwater to draw attention to their grievances, highlighting the persistent civic issues related to drainage and infrastructure maintenance in the city.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) announced that Powai Lake will stop receiving sewage by October 1, following the interception of all 18 sewage outfalls. The BMC has also approved the appointment of AECOM Asia as a consultant for the lake's redevelopment master plan.

Supreme Court has given the go-ahead for Reliance Industries' ₹400 crore Corporate Social Responsibility plan to develop the 130-acre public open space along the Mumbai Coastal Road South. The court has capped the area for ticketed attractions at 15%, ensuring the majority of the space remains accessible to the public.
