Shahberi, Greater Noida

The Greater Noida Authority has sealed nine shops built on disputed land in Shahberi and removed encroachments from approximately 5,000 sqm of government land in Amarpur as part of an ongoing campaign to curb unauthorized construction. The sealed shops were constructed without approval on land where commercial activity is not permitted.

The Greater Noida Authority has approved several infrastructure projects to ease traffic congestion in Greater Noida West. These include the construction of an elevated road from Sector 4 to National Highway-24 via Shahberi, the construction of Foot Overbridges (FOBs) near congested intersections, U-turn loops, dedicated turning bays, widening of arterial roads in Sectors 10, 12, and Techzone-IV.

The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) plans to develop a 2.5-kilometer, four-lane elevated road from Iteda to Crossings Republik via Shahberi, with an estimated cost of ₹250 crore. This project aims to alleviate traffic congestion and improve regional connectivity, especially in anticipation of increased traffic with the operationalization of the Noida International Airport.
