To combat rising population and traffic congestion, the Karnataka government has proposed developing three new cities at Bidadi, Solur, and Nandagudi on the outskirts of Bengaluru. The Karnataka government is also considering a proposal to shift the Jakkur Flying Training School out of Bengaluru to Mysuru. This move aims to ease building height restrictions in the area and free up the land for commercial activities.

Residents of Yelahanka are facing significant difficulties due to ongoing civic works that commenced over a year ago. Dust exposure, crater-filled lanes, and unpredictable traffic diversions are making travel exhausting. The slow progress on the Jakkur Railway Overbridge is further compounding commuter problems. The market area at Raithra Santhe is also experiencing chaotic parking, uncollected garbage.
