The Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL) has significantly improved connectivity between Sewri and Navi Mumbai, boosting real estate demand in areas like Ulwe and Panvel, with property values already seeing a 10-30% jump. This, along with the Navi Mumbai International Airport and metro expansion, is supporting sustained housing demand in the region.

CIDCO has identified a 100-hectare site in Karanjade, Panvel, near the Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA), to develop India's first integrated International Educity. A new arm flyover connecting Palm Beach Road to the Sion-Panvel Highway was inaugurated in Vashi Sector 17. This 290-meter flyover, built by the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) at a cost of ₹18.32 crore, provides a direct route for commuters traveling towards Pune. It is expected to significantly ease traffic congestion and reduce travel time by 10-15 minutes, eliminating the need for detours via Sanpada. The project addresses a key gap in Navi Mumbai's road network, improving connectivity and overall planning.

Panvel Municipal Corporation is undertaking a significant project to plant 1.25 lakh trees along the Sion-Panvel Highway. This initiative aims to restore greenery lost due to highway widening and create a green corridor. The project will utilize native species and incorporate a drip irrigation system for maintenance, with plans to involve local communities and environmental groups. This long-term investment is expected to contribute to a greener and healthier city.
