Panvel Sector 4, Navi Mumbai

Panvel has outlined a long-term infrastructure development strategy focusing on water security and transport connectivity. Key proposals include the Shilar Dam project and increasing the height of Dehrang Dam to bolster water supply. The Nhava-Sheva Water Supply Scheme (Phase III) is also being expedited.

As part of the Mumbai 3.0 initiative, the MMRDA has allocated ₹4,000 crore for the development of the KSC (Karnala-Sai-Chirner) Navnagar Project. This project will develop 323.44 sq. km, covering 124 villages in Panvel, Uran, and Pen talukas of Raigad district.

A new arm flyover connecting Palm Beach Road to the Sion-Panvel Highway was inaugurated in Vashi Sector 17. This 290-meter flyover, built by the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) at a cost of ₹18.32 crore, provides a direct route for commuters traveling towards Pune. It is expected to significantly ease traffic congestion and reduce travel time by 10-15 minutes, eliminating the need for detours via Sanpada. The project addresses a key gap in Navi Mumbai's road network, improving connectivity and overall planning.
