EV Homes has announced plans to develop a corporate headquarters in Vashi's proposed '5-Minute City,'(Sector 9,10) inspired by Denmark's urban model. This initiative aims to create neighborhoods where essential services are within a five-minute reach, enhancing quality of life and promoting sustainability.

Large parts of Navi Mumbai are experiencing prolonged and frequent power outages, exacerbated by rising temperatures and a heatwave. Residents from Vashi, Turbhe, Kamothe, Kharghar, Ulwe, Airoli, Ghansoli, and Kopar Khairane are reporting sleepless nights due to the disruptions, which also affect water supply.

The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has presented a surplus budget of ₹48,072 crore, with a significant 87% allocated to infrastructure projects, including ₹4,000 crore for the development of Mumbai 3.0 New Town. This budget prioritizes planned urban expansion, improved connectivity, and enhanced urban services, aiming to boost the region's infrastructure ecosystem.
