Godrej Properties has launched new residential projects in Kolkata, shifting towards theme-based townships , like Godrej Seven in Joka, Godrej Zen estate in Diamond harbour and Godrej Blue in BL Saha road. These projects are designed for modern families, emphasizing clean air, large parks, and proximity to new Metro lines.

Reports indicate that the East-West Metro stretch has faced delays and disruptions due to water leakage and soil subsidence. Meanwhile, the Metro Railway, Kolkata, has decided to renovate its four-decade-old infrastructure on the Dakshineswar-Kavi Subhas route due to detected cracks, with a target completion of nine months. These infrastructure upgrades are crucial for the city's public transport system.
