₹4,051 Crore Approved for Underground Power Cabling in Hyderabad Metro Zones
A ₹4,051 crore project has been approved to convert overhead electricity distribution lines to an underground cabling network across key metro zones in Hyderabad, including Banjara Hills, Secunderabad, Hyderabad Central, and Hyderabad South circles. This will improve aesthetics , reduce distribution losses and will promote industrial / commercial activities.
Secunderabad Railway Station Rebuilding Project Nears Completion
The rebuilding of Secunderabad Railway Station, a project costing ₹715 crore, is progressing with the South Block targeted for completion in four months. The modernized station will include a large waiting hall, Canteen, 26 lifts, 32 escalators and connectivity. Once completed, it will handle up to 2.7 lakh passengers daily, improving inter-city connectivity and passenger experience.
