PMC has announced an alternate-day water supply schedule starting June 15, 2026, to conserve dwindling water reserves. The civic body expects to reduce daily water consumption by approximately 400 MLD. Restrictions are in place for non-essential uses like car washing and filling swimming pool.

Pune Metro's elevated Line 3, spanning 23.203 km and connecting Hinjewadi to Shivajinagar, will begin operations in phases starting June 15, 2026. The first phase will cover 12 stations from the Hinjewadi side, with the remaining stations expected to be operational by October.

WeWork has leased approximately 2 lakh sq ft of commercial office space in the Phoenix Millennium Tower-3 building in Pune's Wakad area for a total rent exceeding ₹161 crore. Pune Municipal Corporation has decided to appoint a contractor to construct the 200-meter incomplete stretch of the Baner-Pashan link road. This crucial road connects Baner, Balewadi, and Pashan, benefiting approximately 2.5 lakh people. The project, sanctioned in 1992, faced delays due to land acquisition issues. The PMC has deposited Rs 25 crore for land acquisition.

The 23-km Hinjewadi–Shivajinagar Metro corridor is in its final phase of construction, with overall work reaching nearly 94% completion. Once operational, this Metro line is expected to significantly ease traffic congestion on the busy Pune–Hinjewadi IT corridor, connecting Shivajinagar to Hinjewadi's technology hub and reducing travel time for thousands of IT professionals.

Pune's new double-decker flyover, featuring a road flyover below and a Metro line above, was inaugurated by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to alleviate traffic congestion in areas like Baner, Pashan, Shivajinagar, and Aundh. Additionally, a 31.50 km six-lane elevated highway will be constructed on the Pune-Solapur national highway from Hadapsar to Yavat at a cost of ₹5,262 crore

Several infrastructure projects in and around Pune are progressing towards completion. One of the two new river bridges on the Mutha River at Warje on the Mumbai-Bengaluru Bypass is complete ,awaiting final testing, Balewadi-Kaspate Wasti bridge over the Mula-Mutha river, is expected to complete in an year. Pune University Square flyover is targeted for completion in 2026 ,easing traffic to Shivajinagar, Aundh, Baner, and Pashan.
