The Telangana government has amended building rules, relaxing Transferable Development Rights (TDR) norms for builders within the Outer Ring Road (ORR) limits of Hyderabad. These changes aim to increase flexibility in building regulations, allowing for setback relaxations and additional floors based on road width, which is expected to boost real estate activity.

The Telangana government is preparing to revise land market values, with potential increases ranging from 50% to 100% in official land values, particularly in suburban zones. Areas within and around the Outer Ring Road (ORR) are anticipated to see the steepest hikes. Agricultural lands are also expected to see a substantial upward revision in values.

NITI Aayog has released a roadmap for urban governance reforms aimed at addressing common issues faced by urban residents and homebuyers, such as delayed building approvals, irregular water supply, and project delays. The report, 'Moving Towards Effective City Government,' focuses on strengthening city governments to improve services, enhance accountability, and streamline processes.

The Telangana RERA Appellate Tribunal has ruled that real estate projects on plots less than 500 square yards or upto 8 units , do not require mandatory RERA registration.
