The Pune Ring Road project, a major infrastructure initiative by MSRDC, is advancing through its planning, alignment finalization, and land acquisition phases. This 172-kilometer outer ring road aims to divert heavy traffic around the city and improve inter-city connectivity.

Maharashtra government has decided to discontinue the use of 7/12 land extracts and replace them with property cards in areas newly merged into municipal corporations and councils. This change, aimed at streamlining property ownership records and reducing fraud, will provide clearer details of land and flat ownership, thereby safeguarding the interests of property holders.

The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) is set to undertake significant infrastructure development in 32 merged villages, with an investment of approximately Rs 2,000 crore. This initiative, supported by the World Bank, Central Government, and Maharashtra Government, will focus on improving water supply, sewage networks, roads, and stormwater drainage.

The standing committee of the Pune civic body has approved a ₹126 crore flyover at Mundhwa Chowk (Mahatma Phule Chowk) to ease traffic congestion. The 1,080-meter long flyover will cater to traffic between Kharadi and Mundhwa and has been planned considering the alignment of a proposed metro line. This project may improve traffic flow in one of Pune's busiest corridors.
