Magarpatta Road, Pune

Two key flyovers in East Pune, at Hadapsar Gadital and Magarpatta Chowk, are likely to be dismantled to facilitate a proposed 40-km multilevel flyover and Metro corridor along the Solapur Highway. This move is part of a larger plan to create an integrated elevated transport corridor to ease traffic congestion.

US-based Mortgage Technology's Indian subsidiary has leased 1.93 lakh sq ft of office space in Pune's Magarpatta Cyber City to establish its Global Capability Centre (GCC). The deal, valued at ₹217 crore for nine years, indicates strong demand for large office spaces in Pune. This expansion is expected to generate new job opportunities and stimulate the local economy.

The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) is expediting the widening of a busy 2 km stretch of North Main Road in Koregaon Park, aiming to alleviate traffic snarls. The project involves shifting utilities and is expected to add a lane on each side. This will improve traffic flow for commuters heading towards Mundhwa, Hadapsar-Magarpatta, and the Hadapsar railway station.
