Vashi Sector 9, Navi Mumbai

The Maharashtra government has made a policy decision to accelerate the redevelopment of old and unsafe residential buildings in Navi Mumbai under the Urban Renewal Scheme (URS). This clarification addresses long-standing issues that had stalled several projects, particularly in areas like Vashi Sector 9. The decision allows for mixed residential-commercial redevelopment, relaxes parking norms in certain cases, and enables phased provision of open spaces.

The alignment for Navi Mumbai Metro Line 8 has been finalized, aiming to create a direct metro connection between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) and the upcoming Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA). The metro will pass through Vashi, Sanpada and Juinagar along the Sion–Panvel Highway.

EV Homes Constructions Private Limited has been selected as the developer for the redevelopment of Jai Maharashtra Society in Vashi, Navi Mumbai. This project, the city's second-largest cluster redevelopment, aims to provide residents with modern homes and improve essential services like drainage and water supply, contributing to the urban renewal of Vashi.
