Haryana is reportedly planning to reduce its National Capital Region (NCR) footprint by 60%, potentially affecting Panipat, Karnal, Jind, Mahendragarh, and parts of Bhiwani. This move, reported on June 10th, is expected to take effect by June 16th. The impact on Gurgaon's regional planning and development is yet to be fully assessed.

Gurugram's property market has seen an investment of approximately ₹27,000 crore in the first four months of 2026. This surge, driven by strong developer confidence and demand along corridors like Dwarka Expressway and Golf Course Extension Road, highlights the city's resilience despite broader economic trends. RERA Gurugram has approved 1,057 projects to date, with 825 being residential.

The Haryana state budget has announced major infrastructure projects for Gurugram, including a 14 km elevated corridor, revival of the Greater Southern Peripheral Road, and the construction of five flyovers. These projects, with an estimated cost of around ₹2,900 crore for the elevated road and ₹302 crore for flyovers, aim to reduce congestion and improve traffic flow.

GMDA will conduct a drone survey across 42 villages to identify illegal constructions and encroachments, following the issuance of 250 notices to violators, with survey results matched against revenue records for further action. The Haryana government has approved the final alignment for the 64-km Gurugram–Faridabad–Noida–Greater Noida Namo Bharat RRTS-cum-Metro Corridor, a project aimed at enhancing regional connectivity across the National Capital Region. The Faridabad stretch, spanning approximately 16 km from Sainik Colony to Badshahpur, will integrate with the Delhi Metro Violet Line.

Haryana's wildlife department has proposed redesigning the Gurgaon-Faridabad Road as a wildlife corridor to prevent leopard deaths. The proposals include wildlife underpasses and overpasses, fencing along vulnerable sections, and stricter speed limits with detectors. This initiative aims to enhance the safety of both wildlife and motorists.

The Gurugram Authority has finalized a new design for the Vatika Chowk cloverleaf. The revised design will facilitate seamless traffic movement from Faridabad Road, Golf Course Road, Sohna Highway, and the Dwarka Expressway,This Rs 750-crore project will link Sohna Road with NH-48 and provide seamless connectivity from Sector 58 to Sector 115, benefiting approximately 50,000 vehicles daily.

Gurgaon is undergoing significant infrastructure development as MCG is fast-tracking infrastructure development with a ₹300 crore plan to be completed by 2026, focusing on enhancing sports facilities, administrative infrastructure, public markets, green spaces, and internal road network. Also , authorities are exploring the development of Sector 56 as a multi-modal transit hub, integrating the proposed Gurgaon-Faridabad-Noida RRTS corridor with metro networks.
