After the establishment of the Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority in 1984, the former Doon Valley Special Area Development Authority was united with MDDA in 2019. The Rishikesh Tehsil area was also added to this development area in 2019.

Additionally, The Uttarakhand Housing and Urban Development Authority is also the Uttarakhand development authority for the entire state area and thus, is referred to as the State Authority.

MDDA ISBT Housing Scheme 2020

The Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority is currently selling housing units for the HIG (high-income group) and the MIG (middle-income group) based on first-come-first-serve. The MDDA flats in Dehradun that come under the high-income group are divided into two categories of Type A and Type B, which is analysed by their covered area.

The covered area under Type A flats is 1,388 square feet and the super area is 1,954 square feet. The covered area under Type B flats is 1,558 square feet and the super area is 3,280 square feet. The covered area under the middle-income group is 918 square feet whereas the super area is 1,506 square feet.

The flat prices in the high-income group category lie between Rs 71.50 lakhs and Rs 79.20 lakhs whereas the flat price in the middle-income group is around Rs 49.50 lakhs. The booking amount buyers need to pay is 10% of the cost of the flat. Buyers can pay the remaining amount in three instalments – 15% when they are being allotted the flat, 50% in the next six months and the rest of the amount on possession.

According to a report, the Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority offered good discounts under various categories close to ISBT and Transport Nagar areas in October 2020. In addition, the authority turned down the interest for the first 75 days of the lockdown.
